随着全球经济一体化进程的加快,我国机械制造业为在竞争中立于不败之地,大量引入国外先进技术和机电设备。但是,我国严重缺乏既懂专业又懂英语的人才。因此,如何改革我国高职的机电专业英语培养模式,值得我们广大教师深思和探讨。在分析我国高职院校机电专业英语教学现状基础上,提出探索性意见。

该教材根据高等学校工程图学课程教学基本要求以及高等职业教育课改发展的需要,结合作者多年教学改革与教学实践的成果编写而成。该教材是在《实用电子工程制图(第2版)》的基础上修订而成的。此次修订突出了职业教育应用型、技能型人才培养的特点,并修改书名为《实用机电工程制图(第3版)》。
该教材由江汉大学童幸生任主编,赵培宇任副主编。该教材的编写分工如下:童幸生编写绪论第1、4章;江汉大学王洪九编写第2、3章,附录5;武汉商学院桂伟编写第6章;越培宇编写第7、8章,附录1、2、3、4;武汉船舶职业技术学院李奉香编写第5、9、10章(其中9.4节由江苏食品药品职业技术学院许云飞编写);全书由湖北工业大学赵大兴教授审阅。
2015年5月25日,该教材由高等教育出版社出版。
