2011年国际工业工程师协会亚洲第一届会议在上海交通大学开幕。本次会议由国际工业工程师协会发起，上海交通大学与香港科技大学承办。会议主题是后金融危机工业工程的机遇与挑战，通过会议，搭建亚洲工业工程学术界和工业界学术交流和合作平台和网络，承接工业工程重心向亚洲地区转移的趋势，促进亚洲国家和地区工业工程发展和应用。《2011年国际工业工程师协会亚洲会议论文集》汇集世界工业工程学术界及企业界的知名专家，共同探讨后金融危机如何工业工程面临的新问题，交流工业工程应用的经验。

亚洲建筑师协会理事会（ARCASIA Council）是亚洲建协的最高权力机构。理事会由每个会员学会的两名代表组成。理事会每年召开一次全体会议，会议主要内容包括审议上届理事会会议纪要、各会员学会提出的议案、上年度财务报告、各会员国学会工作报告、亚洲建协各工作组报告；讨论决定亚洲建协会议（理事会、建筑师大会或建筑论坛）的会址、修改亚洲建协组织细则、接收新会员、选举下届亚洲建协主席、副主席等。

亚洲房地产协会ASEA定位于亚洲房地产与城市发展及其关联行业的精英团体，代表亚洲房地产与城市发展及其关联行业的中坚力量，也是国际化的政商交流、商学观点和营商机遇交流平台。

亚洲房地产协会ASEA实施执行委员会领导下的会员邀请注册制，以联合主席和联合理事长的双重模式组织运营。

亚洲房地产协会ASEA尊重每一位会员，全体会员将共同分享协会的荣耀，并为增进和深化有关于亚洲房地产与城市发展及其关联经济的贸易和投资联系，推动建立伙伴关系而不断努力。

亚洲房地产协会ASEA的成立已经获得亚洲各国和地区政府、工商界和学术界代表的普遍支持，并将在专业领域赢得全球性的广泛关注。从成立开始，协会已经或将陆续于亚洲各成员国家和地区有影响的重要城市召开年会和其他房地产与城市发展及关联经济的专业会议。

亚洲房地产协会ASEA力争成为亚洲有关国家政府、工商界和学术界机构和领袖就亚洲房地产与城市发展及其关联经济进行对话的高层次平台。致力于通过区域经济的进一步整合，推进亚洲房地产与城市发展及其关联经济实现持续发展目标。

协会在31年中，共召开过11次会议：

1、1928年瑞士成立大会，主要讨论协会宗旨。

2、1929年法兰克福会议，讨论低薪阶层的住宅问题，并由此提出“最小生存空间”。

3、1930年布鲁塞尔会议，讨论主题由居住问题转到城市建筑功能问题，提出有效地使用土地和“合理的建筑朝向”等问题。在这三次会议上由德语国家建筑师组成的新客观主义派成员起较大的作用。

4、1933年雅典会议，分析了欧洲四个城市的状况，提出了关于“功能城市”的《雅典宪章》，对城市规划颇有影响。

5、1937年巴黎会议，进一步强调功能问题，修改了《雅典宪章》，讨论了区域规划。在这两次会议上，勒·柯布西耶起了主导作用。会议的调子从最初的激进的社会要求转到了建筑本身功能方面。

6、1947年布里奇沃特（英国）会议，为适应战后情况而修改了协会的宗旨，从战前着眼于人的生理和物理要求转到“为创造可以满足人们的情感和物质要求的具体环境而工作”。

7、1949年贝加（意大利）会议，讨论了城市规划的“设计网格”，会议出现分歧。

8、1951年霍台斯多（英国）会议，讨论“城市中心”的设计和艺术问题，分歧明显化了。

9、1953年埃克斯昂普罗旺斯（法国）会议，再次讨论住宅、邻里单位、城市和交通问题，分歧扩大化。以A.史密森和P.史密森夫妇、A.范·艾克为代表的一批人向《雅典宪章》中的城市四大功能（居住、工作、游憩和交通）提出挑战，他们不满意老一代建筑师们停留在改良的功能主义上，认为城市面貌应有较为复杂的图形，才能满足对城市可识别性的要求。

10、1956年杜布罗夫尼克（南斯拉夫）会议、讨论不同时期和不同地方的理想居住环境问题时，协会分裂为两派。为这次会议作准备工作的年轻建筑师们提出社会心理要求的问题。

11、1959年奥特洛（荷兰）会议，老一代建筑师缺席，新的一派讨论与比较了自己的作品，并批判了协会的程式化观点，同时宣告协会停止活动。由此，一些国家掀起否定协会的浪潮。
